MOTOR cyclists are also part of the answer. We use less road space, and we’re not all crazy speeding people. Many of us are highly trained, first aid trained, road users and refuse to be all lumped together as being irresponsible. Similarly so most car riders. Pedestrians also need to take responsibility when crossing roads at correct junctions and concentrating, not using mobile phones for example. In some boroughs in London and many towns in England motorcyclists can use bus lanes (which makes it safer for us and NO less safe for cyclists). Living streets means we should all use them, and they should not be closed off forcing more and more traffic on to less and less roads, giving the authorities a false reason to place traffic angering measures in (they don’t “calm” anyone down).
