Southwark Council has uploaded the counts of speeds and volumes of vehicles on Southwark managed streets that it has undertaken since 2008 onto its website. It is available as a download from:

Improving Safety on Southwark’s Roads

Please find attached a report that has been created jointly by sustainable transport groups in Southwark – Southwark Living Streets, Southwark Cyclists and Roadpeace.

The report questions the effectiveness of current road safety strategies in inner London boroughs such as Southwark and suggests new approaches to begin reducing the numbers of serious casualties that involve pedestrians and cyclists in particular.

All London Green Grid

The GLA has been consulting on a Green Grid for London. Our response appears in the word document below. We have proposed the creation of additional routes between Burgess Park and Southwark Park (and thus the river and the Rotherhithe Peninsula) and between Ruskin Park and Burgess Park.
